This year’s Big Give Green Match Fund appeal that ended at noon on Tuesday proved to be a resounding success for Pipal Tree.
During the week-long appeal, donations made online automatically doubled in value through matching pledges that we had put in place beforehand. And in that week we raised a staggering £194,426 in matched donations with an additional £2,576.50 in Gift Aid (UK tax reclaim) and a further £14,057 as an offline donation. So, a grand total of £210,879 raised!
In terms of funds raised, Pipal Tree raised the seventh most amount out of 307 participating charities. In the same appeal last year we raised a total of £85,998, so, the dramatic increase is a measure of just how much progress we are making as a charity. That progress comes down to recognition of the tangible results we’re delivering on the ground as we address the global crises that are impacting upon Nepal, the passion and commitment of our staff and Boards in Nepal and the UK and the unswerving loyalty and generosity of our supporters.
We are hugely grateful to everyone who contributed towards this appeal in whatever capacity. A very BIG thank you indeed!
